The Mangrove Project and Shake A Leg Miami Inc announce a collaboration agreement to develop

an on site research and nursery facility on-site at Shake A Leg Miami's Aquatic Center and Marine Academy.

The Mangrove Project in collaboration with the Shake A Leg Miami's team and Miami Dade County Public

Schools Project B.R.I.D.G.E. will harvest, propagate, grow and ultimately plant thousands of Red Mangrove

seedlings for several active restoration sites within the area. 

 

We are thrilled to be able to share our resources with an amazing group of people at Shake A Leg Miami

that are doing wonderful things for children with disabilities and our local environment.  We look forward to

opening up the facility for all K12 and Higher Ed science teachers and colleagues so that students and

teachers of all ages can expand their hands-on STEM curriculums.  The Red Mangrove seedlings grown

here will be planted in one of several restoration sites nearby.  A curriculum has been developed to allow

teachers and students to participate in this restoration and education process through year-long field trip

opportunities and workshops.

Holiday & Client Seedling Plant Arrangements Are Back !

The Mangrove Project is pleased to bring back one of our favorites. For the holiday season we will be offering beautiful desktop arrangements with our very own hand-grown Red Mangrove Seedlings.  The 8 seedlings are placed in the vase shortly after roots begin to develop so that the recipient of this beautiful

arrangement can soon see the fabulous prop roots develop over the marble stones. It will last approximately 3 years, before having to be moved to a large container.  Finally, as with all our seedlings, they can be returned to us and replanted in one of our partner restoration projects. All profits from this arrangement will go toward  supporting The Mangrove Project's K12 education initiatives. This arrangement can be delivered locally or shipped in an easy to assemble kit.

The Mangrove Project reaches yet another milestone.  The Mangrove Project has been approved as

the first vendor on AMAZON to list and sell live Red Mangrove Seedlings.  We are thrilled to

be a part of such a global perspective, Amazon allows us to reach out to colleagues around the

world and continue to expand our restoration and education efforts on a global platform.

The Mangrove Project is seeking donations of wood pallets and concrete blocks.  These materials are used for planting tables.  Shade cloth and planting propation trays are always needed as well.

Request for Proposal: The Mangrove Project is seeking commercial office space in a Class A Building in Coral Gables or South Miami to house its corporate offices.  We are looking for +/- 1,500 sf.  Please contact us if you or your clients have any property that meets the criteria.
